What this site collects and how it's used
This website, albertkao.com, is operated by Albert Kao / Sandforge LLC. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this site or submit a contact form, how that information is used, and your rights regarding it.
Information is collected in two ways:
Information you provide. When you submit a contact form, you voluntarily provide your name, email address, and message. No payment information, government IDs, or other sensitive data is collected through this site.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, standard technical data may be collected when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is collected through Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) and our hosting provider, and is used to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
Information submitted through the contact form is used solely to respond to your message. Specifically:
Analytics data is used to understand which pages are visited, how visitors find the site, and general usage patterns. This data is not used to identify individual visitors.
Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. You will not be added to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
This site uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics (GA4). Used to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, scroll depth, outbound link clicks, and general traffic patterns. Google Analytics may set cookies (such as _ga and _gid) to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Web3Forms. Contact form submissions (name, email, and message) are transmitted via Web3Forms, a third-party form processing service, which forwards them to an email inbox. Web3Forms is not used for any other purpose.
Cloudflare. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare provides hosting, CDN, and security services and may process visitor IP addresses and request metadata as part of delivering the site.
Fonts. Typefaces used on this site are self-hosted. No requests are made to external font services, and no data is shared with third parties for font loading.
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors and track usage patterns. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. No cookies are used for ad targeting or cross-site tracking.

Contact form submissions are retained in email for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and any resulting conversation. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time.
